Kirstin helped me create a space that is a true reflection of me, my life, and my style. A home renovation is a daunting project, and there are so many things to consider. Kirstin listened to my ideas, and then through careful consideration of the purpose and aesthetic of each space, she provided expert layout solutions and executed at an even higher level. Kirstin has been invaluable. 
We have recently completed a significant renovation which we decided to do as owner builders. We knew how we wanted to use the space but making all the decisions which are required to go from concept to creation was daunting.  That is where Kirstin came in. She worked with us from the beginning to prepare scaled layouts plus choose colours and finishes throughout. This created a consistent story linking the old and new seamlessly, weaving a beautiful design story through our home.

And she is happy to help with those emergencies which inevitably arise when you have to make final selections - like which white do you really want for these cabinets? Yes there are so many different shades and Kirstin ensures that every choice is made with a view to the end result.

After using Kirstin’s services a few times. I don’t hesitate to call her first when I want to add or update things in our home. I have such confidence in her suggestions and I’m always happy with my final choices. You live with your interior design choices for decades so it makes common sense to make a small investment in professinal services at the beginning rather than waste significant money on the fixtures, fittings and furniture that you will have to live with for a very long time.

When designing our bookshelf, I had very specific requests to accomodate books, family photos, store albums and display special ornaments. I didn’t want a boring bookshelf, I wanted something that looked like it had always been there. Kirstin was meticulous with the cabinet maker on the style and dimensions of this corner unit and the end result is perfect.

Elsternwick Re-Style

My wife and I (both in our late 70’s) recently downsized and had been living in our newly built home for over 6 months. We felt over-whelmed and confused about how we should furnish it. We had been to so many stores but just couldn’t make a decision. We reached out to Kirstin for help. Having never used an interior decorator before we were a little unsure how it would go.

Kirstin was so understanding. She asked a lot of questions about the way we used the spaces and what we wanted to achieve. She asked about pieces we had seen that we liked. She talked about phisical requirements such as higher seat and arm heights on sofas.

We knew we wanted an extension table for family dinners but couldn’t find one we liked. She really knows her stuff when it comes to furniture. She knew exactly what size table would fit and the table she suggested we loved and bought immediately.

While we didn’t go with any of Kirstin’s sofa options, she did a wonderful job of sourcing a floor rug, coffee table and cushions to make our space look modern and contemporary (even though we went with a more classically styled sofa).

We are so thrilled with our new space and proud to share it with friends. We are now recommending her to all our other empty nesting and retired friends.

We recently completed a large renovation for our family home.

We bought Kirstin in at the early stages of building where she helped to guide us through every detail. It was such a relief to have someone by your side with really great ideas and good advise.

She helped me with decisions on floors, tiles, paint colours, carpets and rugs, curtains/blinds, furniture and a whole kitchen. It can be terrifying and expensive, so having an expert guiding you was extremely reassuring. 

She always worked to your taste and budget and I loved the way she put together “mood boards” so we quickly worked out that we were on the same wave length!
She could also throw in a completely different concept at times to keep it interesting.....like a rug you wouldn’t have thought of or a light fitting.

Kirstin is very in touch with current trends and has a great eye for detail. 
She works very hard to make your home exactly as you want it. She also gets on well with all the trades and has great contacts in the industry.
